Sequence Steps
Note: You must manually close each step of the sequence before the next step will launch.
Automatic email
Automatic emails are messages that you don’t want to write each time. They are sent automatically according to the schedule you set up in your sequence.
Manual email
Manual emails generate an open Activity for you to complete and send the email when ready. You can pre-populate the message and then add specific details before sending.
Personalize your emails
You can add personal touches to your email messages by using the @ symbol. Enter the @ symbol to see a list of options.
Create the content of the email in the left window and see a preview in the right window.
You have the option to add information that is based on conditions such as days of the week, if a statement is made triggering a consequent action, and more. Known as conditional logic, you can learn more about it in Understand Conditional Logic and Personalization.
Phone call
A phone call generates an open Activity for you to call this person. You can set the purpose of the call, the subject and add any instructions or notes. Once the call is complete, you can add notes from the call or set an outcome. Phone call activity will display on the timeline of the Account and the Contact.
Generic task
Create a task activity for you to complete that varies from other pre-populated steps. This might be a reminder for you to research the company or look up information before a call. It can also be a step where you evaluate the potential client’s interest and activity. For example, if they haven’t responded to any of your contact attempts you could add them to a nurture sequence or take other steps.
A LinkedIn step creates an activity reminding you to look up this person on LinkedIn or take another action such as view a profile, interact with posts, send a message, send a connection request, and more. Like emails, you can personalize or use conditional logic to add dynamic content.
