TekStack Account Domain Validation
TekStack account domain validation works by comparing the email domain of newly created contacts (via record creation rules, email tracking and/or posted forms) to a list of domains associated with existing accounts. If a match is located, the new contact is automatically linked to the account with the matching domain.
When an account or contact is created in TekStack, a domain record is created in the background and associated to the account.
Note that there are two scenarios that will require new account domains be imported manually into TekStack:
TekStack has been implemented into a customer’s existing D365 environment where account records were already present.
A list of new accounts is imported into TekStack via the D365 import tool or by using Excel Online via the UI.
In scenario 1, TekStack will provide the customer with a data import Excel template to be populated with account name (column A) and domain (column B).
In scenario 2, the user importing new accounts into TekStack must run a second import of the new account domains using the Excel template mentioned in scenario 1.
