Every project needs resources—the people on your team who complete the work outlined in Tasks and User Stories.
In TekStack, you can set up all your resources in one place. Find them listed in the left navigation under Resource Management>Resources. You can assign one or more roles to each resource. Pre-configured roles are associated with a cost that is automatically calculated on a project and used for budgeting.
You set up your tasks and user stories with planned roles. Then you assign resources to those work items based on the roles they were given. On a small project, the same person might carry out several different roles. On a large project, each role might be fulfilled by one person.
When you set up the resources in a project, any of these resources from your list may be available to work on your project.

Cost – When you enter the cost of the resource here, it will be used in the calculations for the time that resource spends on the task or user story. Role costs are only used for budgeting.
Utilization Target – This is a number of weekly hours you want the person to be available to perform work items. It will appear on the resource’s time sheet as the Weekly Goal. It provides at a glance how well the individual’s time is used on projects.
