Templates make it easier to add optional work items to a project. If your team sells products or services with add-ons, you can template user stories and add them to a base project template once it's started. Here's how you can add a templated user story to an existing project.

 


  

1. In the project, click the User Stories tab then click the + icon. 



2. Switch the Use a Template slider to Yes, then search for the template in the Template field. If the template doesn’t exist yet, you can create it from there by clicking New User Story. There are instructions to create new templates here



3. Fill out the remaining fields and click Save
