TekStack version 2026.1 is a significant release with several updates, increased efficiency and speed (due to a backend refactor), new features, and bug fixes. The update focused on the TekStack Delivery application.
Delivery
Project Manager Assignment at Project Creation - The project create form now includes a Project Manager field allowing a PM to be assigned from the onset. The field is not required. When the field is populated with a project manager resource, the project will immediately appear in the resource's “My Project” views.
Project Grid - project templates and projects now include a “Project” tab which houses the new, enhanced project grid experience. The grid includes the following features:
Editable project name field
Task layout flexibility
Quick edit pop up for project tasks and milestones with a multi-date select field, status adjustment, easy-to-read hours and budget calculations, and multi-resource assignment capability.

The project grid does not include a Gantt chart. This is still available on the original project schedule tab.
Project Schedule Tab Changes - The ability to adjust dates directly within the schedule and the ability to drag and drop tasks on the schedule have been removed. Users are encouraged to use the Move Rows and Quick Edit features on the new project grid.
Project Form Design and Layout Updates - Field and form re-arrangement for ease of use as well as to accommodate the new project grid.
Project Task Historical Details - Project task records now have a History tab that displays created on/by and modified on/by details.
Task Resource Assignment Hours Breakdown - The grid within the project task Resources tab now includes a breakdown of actual hours billable and actual hours non-billable for each assigned resource. The Budgeted Hours column has been removed, and instead the task budget is divided between resources as remaining hours. The distribution of remaining hours for each resource can be edited on the resource assignment record.
Time Entry Budget Notifications - Resources will be presented with a warning when logging time on a task that is over-budget.
Project Task Planned Role - The Planned Role tab on project tasks now displays the price per hour of the planned role.
Update Schedule - A new feature that allows users to export a project schedule to Excel, make bulk changes (add/remove tasks, edit dates, edit budget hours, assign resources) and import the updated file back into TekStack to process and save the changes to the project schedule.
Time Sheets - Improvements to formatting and a simplified look and feel.
Project Dashboards - Various dashboards have been introduced displaying collections of data specific to certain project roles and executives. For example, there is a PM dashboard that presents data arrangements that would be helpful at quick glance to a project manager like projects with overdue tasks and comparison between budgeted vs. completed work by project.
Services Dashboard - Power BI - TekStack now offers a series of Power BI reports for Delivery visualizing project data from resource utilization and time entry to billing breakdowns. Available to users with access in Power BI and via Services Dashboard in TekStack.
